Betraying my Capitalist Comrades!

Didn't really want to post this, Anna told me to grow some...

Had an idea today, our idea is the constant "switching on" to survive in the capitalist world and to become efficient creatures - not humans.

I find myself doing this, I am always aiming to do something during my everyday, when I am travelling on the tube I am always reading, when I am walking to and from Uni I will be listening to podcasts.

Recently, I started reducing the amount of time I spend in the shower, because I found it a waste of time.

Perhaps, we could all constantly be 'switched on' for one week, ridding ourselves of "idleness" and maintain a diary. For example, walking quicker to be more efficient, not watching T.V, reducing the time we spend on facebook.

Obviously we still encounter the problem of taking the idea to the public and making it an intervention...

Any thoughts? (Apart from feelings of hatred on having no time for relaxation/downtime)

  1. I think this is a great and a simple idea we can test ourselves. Especially since we are on break, i think it will be more challenging now since we have so much spare time!
